Hope Layout

A scrapbook Layout for You

Well it was such a wet and miserable day today, I thought I might stay indoors and get some Layouts done. I do love the colours Choc Chip and Pink Pirouette together and with the Breast Cancer Stamp Set "Strength and Hope" I thought that would be a good start for a Layout. Mind you it did take quite a while to do this page. Setting it out, taking it off, moving this, adding that and then well I finally managed to be happy with the end result. Only to take it all off again to stick it down. Barbara thought it was funny. (HeHe) While I did my layout Barbara came down to do some catch up with an Album that we did in a class a while ago. Why did she not manage to do it with the others. Well you see Barbara decided to go on Holiday. Yep jet setting all over the place, so she didn't want to miss out on the Album Class so came down and managed to get it all done while I played. What a great way to spend a cold wintry day, Scrapbooking and with Friends. Thanks Barb for your company.

Here is the layout I did.
Here is a close up of the flowers. (gotta love these flowers)
Here is the pleated cardstock that I also decided to use on my page.I have included an ATC on the page for something a little different. I made this one for the July swap with Tracey Hanshaw, so if you like the thought of ATC's then pop over to her blog and join the club.

Sorry about the rather long post, but I really wanted to show you some close ups of all the elements I put on this page. I really was pleased at how it turned up and if you like, then please let me know, all you have to do is leave me a comment.

Well here are some more of the Layouts I managed to catch up with the other day. Summer and water are a great mix, especially with my son Bryden and his Pop. They love the water. I am sure they should of been ducks.heheheI love this photo of Bryden, such a natural when it comes to water sports. These 2 layouts where really quick and easy. The top one is my son showing his pop how to do it and the below one is Pop trying to not be out done by his grandson.

Scrapbook Catch Up

This was my Son's first car. He has had is licence now for over 12 months and he even has different car now too. Oh my where has the time gone.

Hey Presto

Just Add Ink #73
Sketch Challenge

Well Ladies, I said I would be back soon with some challenge's to show you. As usual I went to my favorite challenge site over at Just Add Ink and this week they have a sketch challenge for us. I know I have been missing in action for a while and its so good to be able to sit down and do some challenges not only for you but for myself as well. The sketch they came up with this week, really made me think outside the square. I wanted to do something I don't usually do. This technique has been done by alot of Demonstrators but I have yet to try it, so I thought outside the square and gave it ago. This is the sketch we had to use.

Here is my card that I made. Our previous mini had some Presto Papers available and although I did manage to buy 2 sets of this I haven't used them up until now, so not only are the Just Add Ink design team challenging me but I to also challenged myself. A new technique and new papers. Wow, clap for me....hehehe

I stamped the flowers from the Petal Pizzazz Set with Poppy Red on the Presto papers and cut them out, stuck them to the Pear Pizzazz cardstock and then run it through the bigshot with the Square Lattice embossing folder. (Abit hard to see sorry, but it has been). I then also used the Presto Papers and daubed with Poppy Parade and Pear Pizzazz Ink, for the piece along the left handside. I also decided to run the Heart Border punch along the bottom and added a piece of Pear Pizzazz card stock under it.

So I would just like to say thanks for stopping by and it really is good to be back having fun with the challenges. Don't forget to click on over to see what the wonderful Design team came up with.

Drink Anyone

Well what a great bunch of Ladies. My Stamp Club Members. We had our last meet up on Thursday Night and it was great to see everyone back around the tables, chit chatting and just enjoying what they all love most. I decided to show them all how to make the Drink Cards. Absolutely outstanding they all were. Very clever and all made this card in no time.

I would just like to take this opportunity to say a very big Thank You to you all as we have had so much fun over the last nine months and can't wait to start again, soon. Hope you all had fun and learned lots as well.

Here is the card they all got to make.

Bleached Cards

Bleached Cards

Wow what a difference a little bleach can make.

Well I know its been a very very long time, but unfortunately I really haven't had time to sit down and do some serious crafts for a while other than prepping for the classes I did have scheduled. One of those classes was the Bleach Technique. It was really really fun and made us all go WOW. A little bit of bleach can make a very big difference to a card. Here are 2 of the cards we made.

Here is the second one:-
